The challenge
The Royal Thai Embassy in London needed step-free access between two levels of the building.
The embassy wanted a platform lift for a 2,750mm change in level, finished to suit the building and linked to an upper-level gate supplied by others.
Our solution: Prestige Platform Lift
We installed an APL Prestige Platform Lift with a 1,850 x 1,200mm platform and a 500kg capacity, travelling 2,750mm. The platform, glass channel, gate posts and control pedestal are all finished in black RAL 9005, with glass safety barriers and stainless steel fittings.
An interlock connects the lift to the upper-level gate, so it only operates when the gate is safely closed.
