The challenge
A primary school in Ilford needed accessible access across its three floors.
The lift had to go inside the existing building with minimal disruption, and its use needed to be controlled so pupils could not call it unsupervised.
Our solution: Elite Cabin Lift
We installed an APL Elite Cabin Lift in a self-supporting steel structure inside the building, needing only a 150mm pit, travelling 9,173mm over three floors. It has fire-rated automatic sliding doors, grey skinplate finishes and a concrete-effect floor.
Key-fob controls at the landings restrict use, and voice announcement, LCD displays and a GSM autodialler with remote monitoring are fitted.
