This conference and events venue in the City of London hosts busy daily events across its floors.
A short flight of timber steps separates two levels of the event floor. The venue needed step-free access that could go in with minimal disruption and leave the stair clear for guests.
Our solution: Inclined Platform Lift
We installed an APL Inclined Platform Lift with an 800 x 1,250mm platform rated at 300kg, running on a straight rail mounted on stanchions beside the staircase. The lower stanchions are fixed to the structure beneath through a hatch below the stair.
When not in use, the platform folds flat against the wall so the staircase stays clear. The installation was completed in August 2025.
