The challenge
A newly fitted retail unit in central London had a short flight of stairs between its entrance and the lower sales floor.
The unit needed step-free access that suited its marble floors and ironwork balustrade.
Our solution: Open Platform Lift
We installed an APL Open Platform Lift in brushed stainless steel beside the staircase, rising 1,450mm between the two levels. The 1,100 x 1,400mm platform has integrated handrails, manual gates at both levels and a non-slip aluminium floor.
The machinery is housed in the guide rails, so no machine space was needed. Battery emergency lowering and Braille controls are fitted as standard.
