Headgate Theatre
Located in the center of Colchester, Headgate Theatre is a lively and much loved venue offering a vast array of performances from drama and musicals to live music and comedy shows.
Set within a converted chapel, it provides an intimate and welcoming space for local talent and touring productions.
The Brief
The Theatre had an old obsolete open platform that was not compliant with current regulations.
This particular model was designed with very limited tolerance around the lift, which posed a safety risk and presented challenges when it came to replacement. Its non-standard size does not align with the majority of platform lifts available on the market today, making a direct swap difficult without additional adjustments.
The Result
This was a full turnkey project with Alliance Platform Lifts managing the hoardings, removal of the existing lift, installation of our APL3 and all associated electrical and builders works.
